The Amateur Henna Kit includes:
20 grams / 1/4 cup of Pure Organic Henna BAQ
1 1/2 teaspoon of Essential Oil Cajeput or Lavender *soon on sale at the online store.
3 empty henna cones *you can also buy the Squeeze Bottles if you feel more comfy practicing with them.

You will need:
1/4 cup of lemon juice from concentrate or distilled water* *if you use distilled water ready in 6-12 hours

Instructions
Lemon Juice Recipe *Note 1
- Mix the henna powder with the lemon juice in a bowl, stir, stir, stir. The paste will be thick, like mashed potatoes.
- Add essential oils and sugar, stir, stir, stir then cover the surface with some wrap that won't let the air in. Let it sit in a warm place for 12-24 hours. 75-80*F approximately, we chose the top of the fridge. *Note 3
- After letting the henna mature for 12-24 hours is ready to be used or stored in the freezer. Adjust the consistency to your liking at this time. The paste should have the consistency of toothpaste, very smooth and creamy. It is too thick add a little distilled water or lemon juice, if is too thin add a pinch of henna powder.
Water Recipe *Note 2
- Mix the henna powder with the distilled water in a bowl, stir, stir, stir. The paste will be thick, like mashed potatoes.
- Add essential oils and sugar, stir, stir, stir then cover the surface with some wrap that won't let the air in. Let it sit in a warm place for 12-24 hours. 75-80*F approximately, we chose the top of the fridge. *Note 3
- After letting the henna sit for 6-8 hours. Check the stain regularly. Do a 5 minute spot test on your palm. When the stain is bright orange your paste is ready. Water mixes are ready faster that lemon mix so you'll need to start checking for dye release at about 6 hours. Adjust the consistency to your liking at this time. The paste should have the consistency of toothpaste, very smooth and creamy. It is too thick add a little distilled water or lemon juice, if is too thin add a pinch of henna powder.
How to Cone Henna Paste
- Cone it up. Once the paste is completely mixed and at your desired consistency you are ready to fill your cones. You can fill the cones with a spoon directly from the bowl to the cones, with care of not get all the top full of henna so you can't seal them completely. You can use the same system to fill the jacquard squeeze bottles.
- From a zip lock bag: pour the mix into a zip lock plastic bag, empty the air out of the bag and seal it tightly. Push the paste towards one of the bottom corners of the bag making a huge cone. Cut a small piece of the corner of the bag. Insert the zip lock cone into the cone you want to fill and squeeze in the paste. Fill the cone until it's approximately 1/2 to 2/3 full, 1-3 tbsp.From a pastry bag: pour the mix into a pastry plastic bag, empty the air out of the bag and seal it tightly use tape or a rubber band. Push the paste towards one of the bottom corners of the bag making a huge cone. Cut a small piece of the corner of the bag. Insert the pastry bag cone into the cone you want to fill and squeeze in the paste. Fill the cone until it's approximately 1/2 to 2/3 full, 1-3 tbsp.
- Seal tightly and store in the freezer 6-12 months on average.
